  • When is acceptance for funding received?
    The CITB reviews applications at the end of the month and decisions are received by the 15th of the next month. If successful, funding is received within 6 -8 weeks.
  • What if my training plan changes?
    The CITB has taken into account that plans can change with leavers, new starters and new projects. You can complete a variation form and can be completed at any point through your funded year.
  • Do we charge for this service?
    We do not charge for this service but we are able to provide the funded training, based on our available courses, please get in touch.
  • Where does the funds go?
    The CITB will put the funding money straight into your business account. As the training provider, we do not receive the funds.
  • What happens if not all funding is used?
    The surplus funding money will have to be returned to the CITB if not used within the 18-month period.
  • How much funding would you receive?
    Employers with 1 - 49 direct employees can receive up to £5000. With 50 - 74 direct employees up to £7500 and with 75 - 99 direct employees, up to £10000.
  • What is the eligibility criteria for the CITB Fund?
    You need to be registered with CITB, up to date with your levy payments and have under 100 PAYE employees.
  • What happens at the end of the funding year?
    You will be asked to full out a completion tracker to CITB to show where the money was spent. We will assist with the closing of the year and then you can reapply for your next funding year.
  • What information is needed?
    We will require a brief 12-month training plan of what you have planned to spend the funding on. Our team is happy to help with this process if required, just get in touch.
  • How to apply for the CITB Fund?
    You can apply at any time. You will have 18 months to spend the fun and can re-apply every 12 months. You will need to prepare a funding application and we can provide the forms and assist with the application

What is it?

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is the executive non-departmental public body for construction training, and provide training through the Grant Scheme when using an Approved Training Organisations.
